about beth

beth macraild o’loughlin is a graphic designer, digital developer and analogue photographer, with almost 10 years studio experience and a further 15+ in the visual arts sphere. her portfolio includes experience across print and digital publishing, website and digital development (including online learning systems), marketing and brand development.

beth has recently completed her honours in photography at queensland college of art, griffith university achieving first class honours, with an award for academic excellence. she also holds a bachelor of fine art (double major in photography and art and design theory) from the tasmanian school of art in hobart through utas, where she became inducted as a member of the golden key international honours society. her photographic practice draws upon the history of the medium within a contemporary context, seeking to refocus the attention of photography’s relationship with acts of remembrance. this gives the medium a greater capacity to evoke the past and ignite contemplation. by exploring frozen moments temporal intersections are ignited to reveal ways in which we collectively experience remembrance and construct memory.

about david

david is a graphic designer, story-based filmmaker and art director with 30 years + experience working for leading global advertising agencies and graphic design companies. his expertise lies in brand development, print and digital publishing, video, audio production, copywriting and strategic marketing. he has studied music production, audio engineering and copywriting. as well as advertising agencies, david has been employed as a multimedia and colour management specialist for canon, kodak, minolta, qld film and television school and ibm.

david’s clients have included starwood (sheraton), novotel, queensland government, new england high country tourism, tourism noosa, local land services, nsw dpi, canon australia and ricoh. with agencies he has worked on design and brand management for the lendlease group, stockland, mcdonalds, commonwealth bank, apple, bayer, adidas, country road, and myer.

david has won a number of art direction and design awards. his tablet app for new england high country tourism ‘experience the highs’ won a national ‘mobie’ award for best travel app. the ‘experience the highs’ tourism campaign also won a regional development australia innovation award.
